The hauling dock of the LNG terminal was completed in a world-record short time. It was also an extraordinary effort in terms of concrete works \u2013 for casting the concrete parts of the hauling dock the pipeline of the concrete pump had to be dragged to a distance of 750 meters, which is an Estonian record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The chairman of the jury,\u00a0<b>Aadu Kana<\/b>: \u201cEveryone in contact with the construction were deeply impressed by the actions of the client\u2019s side construction manager Reedik Raudla. As the representative of the client, he directed the high-quality execution of all works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Special award from the Estonian Association of Civil Engineers was awarded to \u2013\u00a0<i>the structural engineers of J\u00e4rve Towers, Jaanus Olop and Mati J\u00f5giste<\/i>\u00a0(E-Betoonelement O\u00dc).<\/p>\n<p>Special award from \u00c4rip\u00e4ev newspaper was awarded to \u2013\u00a0<i>GRK Eesti AS as the main contractor of Puiatu ecoduct<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>The Concrete Building of the Year competition, organized for the twenty-third time this year, has been launched to introduce the public to the wide range of uses for concrete and to recognize people who have used the domestic building material, the opportunity-rich and well-formable concrete, in their projects. This year\u2019s competition received 13 works.
